“The 12 year old does not try to be flash, it just does Speysidey things very well!” – Jim Murray 2013. 2011 Gold Medal, Best in Class – IWSC
What I have been able to find is that Muirhead’s is not a distillery but in fact a brand and a bit of transient brand at that. After establishment back in the early 1800’s under the name Charles Muirhead and Sons the brand has seen a handful of owners. Muirhead’s currently falls under the flag of Tullibardine Highland Single Malt Distillery who purchased the brand in 2008.
Soft, sweet and delicate with clean floral notes.
Well rounded and elegant. Floral notes with a nutty sweetness.
Long and elegant with mellow tones.
Voted ‘Best in the World’ at London Spirit Show 2011.
