This is an independently bottled Irish whiskey from an undisclosed distillery, distilled in 1991, aged in cask #10694 and bottled at 23 year old. It has been bottled by Adelphi, named as an homage to the Limerick Distillery purchased by Archibald Walker back in the day, who also owned the Adelphi Distillery in Glasgow. 204 bottles were produced.
Nose: Big, juicy fruitiness with oranges and tropical fruit, followed by rich oak and a spicy vegetal note later on…
Palate: Mouth coating oiliness carries notes of spicy oak, chocolate, strawberry jam and black pepper.
Finish: Hazelnut, more chocolate and a touch of pineapple.
What a fun dram! It is very lively and fruity for its age.
